Rush Gym Women

Located in Salhiya Business District, Rush Gym -women- is a multipurpose gym specialized in both personal training & Fitness Classes. The design layout primarily focused in visually segregating the two zones (PT & Classes), giving each sector its own character. Due to the old design of the building structure, there were many scattered columns within the floor plan. The challenge here was trying to create spacious zones whilst dealing with numerous columns. This called for utilizing the columns to give the interior space its character.

An important aspect of the design was abiding to the Social Culture of Kuwait. Some women in Kuwait are conservative, and due to the building being exposed at night, custom  vertical louvers where designed accordingly to help treat this issue. The louvers can be electronically maneuvered to tilt at any angel required. This allows full exposure in the mornings and privacy at night.

Digital graphics where also designed & printed on the louvers to give a marketing edge to the gym. The color scheme followed for the gym was monochrome. This allowed for specific design elements to become significant, such as the solid wood textures & graphics surrounding the workout areas.
